Grubb Knight Canopy

Kammetal provided Project Management, Design Development, Structural Engineering, Fabrication, Rigging and Installation services to procure a complex Aluminum Louvre and Canopy system designed by KHA. Highlights include a Kammetal designed and engineered custom mechanical attachment system to secure a vertical louvre system to standard Kawneer curtainwall system. The unique design of the canopy proved to be an engineering design and fabrication challenge, by leveraging Solidworks software and our design and fabrication capabilities we devised a successful approach to detail and fabricate the complex geometric parts required. Additionally Careful consideration and planning was implemented in the design stage to facilitate safe transport, rigging and installation of the canopy and louvre system.
